One of the highlights of Brazilian karting in Europe, Miguel Costa is ready for the World Karting Championship, which will be held from October the 5th to the 8th in Franciacorta, Italy. It will be the driver’s second consecutive appearance in the competition, and his first in the OK class, the main class of the championship, in which he will be defending the Parolin team.
Throughout the season, “Guel” has competed in various championships in Franciacorta, including the WSK and Champions of the Future. He has also been on the entire calendar of the European Championship, where he has been able to face his main opponents in world competition.
“The big moment of the season is the World Kart Championship. It will be my first time racing in the OK class, which is the strongest in the championship, and I’m very confident of having a great competition. I’ve performed well in Franciacorta during the year and I know I’m capable of finishing the World Championship among the best drivers on the planet,” says Miguel.
There are 118 drivers registered for the World Kart Championship in the OK class alone. Activities will open on Wednesday and continue throughout the following day. Friday will feature the time trial and the start of the qualifying heats, which will conclude on Saturday. Sunday will feature the pre-final and the championship decider.
