Miguel Costa tests with Parolin aiming Sarno’s WSK Super Masters round
Brazilian debuted with Parolin last weekend in Franciacorta, showing good race pace racing for the first time in the OK class

One of the most promising drivers in the country working in the European karting, Miguel Costa will have tests this week with his new team, Parolin, aiming to adapt to the team and the equipment, as well as to get better acquainted with the mechanics and trainers. The activity will take place this weekend in Sarno, Italy, where the third round of the WSK Super Masters will be held between March 2 and 5.

“This weekend, I will test in Sarno to run the third round of the WSK Super Masters, also in Sarno. I wasn’t expecting this, but I realized that we have to evolve to achieve good results and build at each round a faster and more competitive kart,” says Miguel, who this year moved up to the OK class, after racing in OK Junior in the last seasons.

The test comes after the driver made his debut with Parolin in the second round of the WSK Super Master, held last weekend at the Franciacorta kart track, also in Italy. Costa showed great pace with the kart in what was his first competition in the new class, although an incident in the pre-final took him out of the decision.

“The classification was difficult, but I had a good pace in the qualifying heats. I had in the pre-final my best performance of the weekend, and quickly got into the top-10, but when I tried one more overtake, I suffered a touch that caused the axle to break. It was a shame, because we were going to get a place in the final. But it was the first weekend with the team, without so many tests and with many novelties”, completed Miguel.

With Parolin, besides the WSK competitions, Miguel Costa will compete in the European Karting Championship, the most important continental tournament of this modality, and also in the World Karting Championship.
