Brazilian Miguel Costa continues to prepare for the third round of the European Karting Championship, scheduled for June 20-23 in Slovakia. This weekend, the driver took part in the Champions of the Future, which ran its third round at the same venue that will host the continental competition, the Slovak Karting Center, where he scored top-10 finishes in the OK category, with sixth place being his best result.
Costa was in the top ten in no less than four of the five qualifying heats at the kart track located in the town of Orechová Potôň. In the super heat, Miguel took tenth place, and in the final, he had a good race when an incident forced him to leave the race, preventing him from achieving a good result.
“I was very fast this weekend. I was in the top-10 in the qualifying heats and recovered well in the pre-final, finishing tenth after being taken off the track and dropping to 18th place. Unfortunately, I had this incident with another competitor in the final, which prevented a very positive result,” said Miguel, after the Champions of the Future round ended.
The driver, who this year has also been competing in the KZ category, is now heading to the third of the four rounds of the European Kart Championship. The continental championship has already been held in Spain and France and, in addition to Slovakia, it will also be held in Sweden, at the Kristianstad karting track.
