November 18, 2024Brazilian driver will make his debut season in motorsport after achievements in international karting
Young revelation in international karting, Brazilian Miguel Costa is Campos Racing’s new signing to compete in the 2025 F4 Spain season. It will be the brazilian driver’s first year in single-seaters.
“I’m honored and excited to announce that I’ll be competing in the Formula 4 Spanish Championship with the Campos Racing team next season, in my debut in single-seaters. Being part of such a legendary team brings me a lot of excitement and opportunities off the track. I’m ready to write the next chapter of my career. Campos Racing has an unrivaled reputation for developing great talent and I promise to give my all to the team. I will have a positive attitude and commit myself to improving every day, to delivering as many results as possible and to making the team proud,” comments Miguel Costa.
Miguel, who has brazilian roots and was raised in Miami (USA), is 15 years old and will be making his debut in F4 Spain with Campos Racing after a long career in the world of karting. His first experiences in karting came when he was just three years old. He made his competitive debut in 2017, when he finished second in the SKUSA Supernationals and the Florida Winter Tour, before migrating to Europe the following season.
From then on, “Guel” continued to climb the karting hierarchy, competing in X30 Junior, Mini Swift, OK Junior and OK in championships such as the WSK Euro Series, WSK Champions Cup, CIK-FIA Karting World Championship and CIK-FIA Karting European Championship. With such a track record, it’s no surprise that Miguel’s brazilian origins make him have three-time F1 world champion Ayrton Senna as an idol, and that his helmet resembles that of his compatriot.
During these european winter months, Miguel will join his new teammates and start working with Campos Racing in preparation for the next season.
“We are very happy to welcome Miguel to Campos Racing. He is an extremely talented driver with an extensive and exceptional career in karting. He is undoubtedly ready for his first season in a championship as challenging and competitive as F4 Spain. We will offer him all our experience to make the transition from karting to single-seaters as smooth and effective as possible,” says Adrian Campos, director of Campos Racing.
