Brazilian driver places among the top-10 in most of the heats in Cremona, closes the round in tenth and starts the season sequence with high expectations

One of the young Brazilian talents working in karting in Europe, Miguel Costa had a great performance in the closing round of the WSK Super Masters, held last weekend at the Cremona kart track, in Italy. Defending the Parolin team, the driver was among the top-10 in most of the activities, finishing the final in 10th.

After being 11th fastest in his qualifying session, Costa showed strength in the qualifying heats, securing a third and a fifth place as best results, as well as an eighth place with the best lap of the race. A third place in the pre-final put the driver in tenth place on the grid for the decision, from which position Miguel completed the decisive race at the Italian kart track.

The driver arrived at Parolin’s team this season, and since then has worked on adapting to the kart, which proved to be one of the most advanced in this weekend’s round. This way, Miguel’s expectation is to fight for podiums in his next challenges: the Champions of the Future and the European Karting Championship, which will be held in Trinec, in the Czech Republic.

“It was a very positive round and things worked out well at this stage. I was able to go faster than my teammates and had the best result since I arrived in Parolin, and I ran at the level I am used to. This week, we are going to the Trinec round of the Champions of the Future with good expectations, looking for a place on the podium,” said Miguel.

The Champions of the Future round in the Czech Republic will be held from Wednesday (3) until Saturday. The European Karting round in Trinec will take place between May 18th and 21st.
