Miguel Costa exalts evolution in Open and aims for a good result in the European Karting Championship in Denmark

One of the main Brazilian talents in the base of world motor racing, young driver Miguel Costa had a great participation in the third round of the European Karting Championship, held at the Rodby kart track in Denmark. Even being one of the youngest in the grid, with only 14 years old, he was constantly among the fastest throughout the activities, finished the round with the seventh place and entered in the group of the ten best in the continental competition.
Representing the Parolin team, Miguel stood out already in the starting times, when he scored the second best mark in his group and the sixth overall. From there on, the Brazilian went to the heats and was always in the top-5, with a second place as the best result, besides a third, two fourth places and a fifth place.
On Sunday, Costa took second place in the pre-final, a position that made him start from sixth in the final of the stage. The driver remained among the top five in the initial part of the race, and finished seventh at the end of 25 laps of the race. The result propelled Miguel to ninth place in the championship in the OK class, the main class of the European Karting Championship.
“The weekend was very good, always among the first and with a great performance throughout the round. We were level on level with the current world champions and we know that we have the potential for podiums and victories still this year in the European and World Karting Championship. We are going to Cremona, which is a track I really like, and I hope to fight for a podium to finish the championship with a golden key”, says Miguel.
The OK category in the European Karting Championship has 85 drivers from more than 30 different nationalities entered, and it is the main competition before the career transition to Formula.
The Cremona round closes the competition between July 27th and 30th.
