The first stage of the championship was advanced and the Brazilian appreciated the opportunity to maintain a good sequence of events after conquering a third place in the Pre-Final of the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno.
“We are evolving a lot in the last few races. I’m always racing in the top five and the podium narrowly escaped in the last stage, due to an unfortunate touch that I received in the OK Junior Final when I was in fourth. Now we are going to start the WSK Euro Series in Lonato, which is another track that I know well and we are looking to maintain this good sequence”, says Miguel, who is in his first year competing in the OK Junior category.
In the second stage of the WSK Super Master Series in La Conca, which took place in March, the member of the Sauber Karting Team highlighted with a second place in the Pre-Final and finished the round with a top-5 in the Final. In addition, he also caught the attention of the grid with a total of 56 overtakes in the opening stage in Adria.
With a year of many achievements in the X30 Junior category, in which he finished several races in the top-5 and top-10 in 2020, Miguel believes in his experience on Italian circuits to have a good performance in the three stages of the WSK Euro Series.
“The WSK is a tournament that depends a lot on the quick adaptation to the track and it is very important that there will be races again in Adria and Sarno, where we raced recently and I am sure that we can be among the first again. We will work hard to maintain our good performance and achieve the first victory of the year at OK Junior”, says Miguel, who uses the Kart Republic chassis in kart number 321 and has the support of Baked Potato and Participa.
The opening stage of the WSK Euro Series starts on Wednesday (07) with free practices and ends on Sunday (11), the day when the OK Junior category pre-finals will start from 7:40 am (Brazilian time). The final is scheduled for the same day and will start at 10:55 am.
