The Sauber academy driver will race in Sarno, Italy, the first of two rounds of the WSK Final Cup. The driver is at Napoli International Circuit, in Sarno, Italy, where he will race the first of two rounds of the WSK Final Cup this weekend. The driver comes in a good phase after claiming the podium in the WSK Open Cup, in Lonato, a month ago.
“In such an intense season, it is even uncomfortable to be one month without racing, but this gave me time to prepare for the last competition of the year. I like racing in Sarno and I had good results there, like fourth place in the World Championship Open. So I want to have a good performance this weekend”, said Miguel.
The Brazilian, a member of the Sauber Driver Academy, currently linked to Alfa Romeo in Formula 1, is still preparing for a career transition. The WSK Final Cup will be his last championship in the OK-Junior class since next season Miguel will make the move to the OK class. The driver could race one more year in his current division, but he sees as beneficial the access to the new class.
“The change is due to the fact that the equipment of the OK class is better in relation to the equipment of OK-Junior, even with little difference between them. I’ve achieved good results in my current division and I’m sure that the correct step for the sequence of my career is to advance one level now”, completes the driver.
Practice for the first round of the WSK Final Cup will happen on Thursday (3), while the final races will be held on Sunday.
