Young Brazilian talent on the main international karting tracks, Miguel Costa competes this weekend in the opening stage of the WSK Super Master Series, scheduled for the South Garda Karting Circuit, in Lonato. It will be the third consecutive week that Miguel will take part in what has been increasingly the home of world karting.
“It was important to have trained a lot here in Lonato, competed in the Winter Cup with Fernando Alonso’s team and then in the Champions Cup. Now we will have a new challenge with Sauber and we will fight for the top positions”, says Miguel, who races with Kart Republic chassis and is sponsored by Baked Potato, Participa and Cube Controls.
Member of the Sauber Academy, a partner of the Alfa Romeo F1 team, Miguel has his first full season in the OK category in 2023. The driver made the transition from OKJ to OK at the end of last year and is already prepared for the new challenges of season.
“I adapted well with the kart and we are looking for more speed to fight for victories. We got to be among the top eight in one of the races last week, but we want to always be back racing within the top-5, so we’ll keep trying this evolution”, says Miguel, who is among the 55 riders signed up for OK.
The track activities of the WSK Super Master Series will start this Wednesday (1st) in Lonato and the finals of all categories are expected to be held on Sunday (5th).
