November 29, 2023WSK: Miguel Costa shows quick adaptation in KZ debut in Lonato
January 30, 2024Brazilian driver who has been a standout in European karting championships is looking for a new experience in his international career
One of Brazil’s leading names in European karting, Miguel Costa will make his track debut in 2024 in a new category, KZ. The driver, who will also compete in the OK class, will race his new kart for the first time this weekend, at the opening of the WSK Super Master, in Lonato, Italy.
Miguel, who is 14 years old and the youngest in his class, sees this opportunity as a way of improving and continuing to evolve his driving style, working even harder on his physical condition, remembering that KZ karts are the fastest in the world for competitors.
“I’m very happy to be back on the track in 2024, especially in a year in which I’ll be racing a KZ, which is a different kart to what I’m used to, but I’m very excited to learn and prepare myself better and better for the main championships of the year. I believe we have the speed to compete at the top of both categories,” says Miguel, who is among the 61 drivers entered in KZ2.
In 2024, Miguel will continue to race the Parolin kart, now with the support of the Modena Kart team. The Brazilian driver will compete in the WSK, the European Kart Championship and the CIK-FIA World Kart Championship. In parallel, Guel’s championships in OK will be: Champions of The Future, as well as racing again in the European and World Championships.
The WSK activities in Lonato began on Wednesday (24) and the stage finals will be held on Sunday (28).
