The Brazilian ranks in the qualifying heats and makes a positive evaluation after the Valencia round of the continental competition
One of the talents of Brazilian karting in Europe, Miguel Costa is getting more and more adapted to the Parolin team, which he has defended since the beginning of the season. The driver showed speed with his new equipment in the opening round of the European Karting Championship, held in Valencia, Spain, and climbed the pack in most of the races.
The stage that marked the opening of the continental competition had Miguel with a good pace in the qualifying heats, and in all of them the Brazilian managed to advance during the races. So, even without reaching the final stage because of a breakdown in qualifying, the driver evaluated his performance in the Spanish region of Andalusia as one of the most positive.
“We were able to achieve the speed we were looking for with the new team. I had a difficult group on a track where everyone was very close. I had good recovery races, but suffered a crash in one of the heats. In the pre-final, we had the pace of the best drivers and I climbed 12 positions. The positive thing is that we reached a good rhythm to be able to fight in the front group. We will go up in the next stages”, said Miguel, who is sponsored by Baked Potato and Participa.
After a few weeks with races, the Brazilian will have a period of three weeks without events. So, Miguel Costa’s next challenge in European karting will be the final round of the WSK Super Masters, scheduled for the Cremona circuit, in Italy, between April 27 and 30.
