April 25, 2024Brazilian from the Parolin team excelled in the round held in Franciacorta, Italy, and turns his attention to the European Karting Open in Val D’Argenton
This weekend, brazilian Miguel Costa competes in the second round of the Champions of the Future season, a championship that will take place at the Val D’Argenton karting track in France. The competition, which serves as an open for the European Kart Championship, is important for the driver precisely because of his preparation for the continental tournament, where he showed good pace in the opening round in Spain, last March.
In the period between the Champions of the Future and the European Karting Championship, Miguel took the opportunity to compete in the inaugural round of the WSK Open Series, which was held at the Franciacorta karting track in Italy. Racing in the KZ category, the Parolin team driver collected top-10 finishes in the qualifying heats and was one of the highlights of the weekend in Italy, which brought together 82 competitors.
“I’m leaving with my head held high, because our speed was very good, but the result of the weekend wasn’t good. Sunday, I finished the pre-final in ninth position and started the final in 14th. I had a good start and moved up to 11th position. I lost power and had an incident in which another driver hit me with three laps to go,” said Miguel after the end of the race.
The Champions of the Future activities in France will open next wednesday and continue until saturday, when the pre-final and final of the round will be held. The next round of the WSK Open Series takes place between May 7th and 11th at the La Conca karting circuit in Italy.
