Racing for Fernando Alonso’s team, young Brazilian driver makes the two-times F1 world champion invitation worth it after good results

Miguel Costa raced last weekend the WSK Champions Cup for FA Alonso Kart, Fernando Alonso’s team, after being invited by the two-time F1 world champion. The single round championship took place at the South Garda kart track, in Lonato, Italy, and the young driver made his participation worth it, finishing the weekend in the top-5.

After qualifying in the 6th position on a grid of 34 karts, Miguel showed good pace in the qualifying heats and in the pre-final, in which he conquered five positions. In the final, the Brazilian driver performed well again, finishing in the 4th place.

“I am happy with the performance last weekend, it is a good way to start the year. I would like to thank again Fernando Alonso and his team for the opportunity, as well as Sauber Karting Team for letting me race for this challenge,” said Miguel.

Miguel Costa races again this week in the first round of the WSK Super Master Series, but back with the Sauber Karting Team.
