F4 Spain: Miguel Costa goes to Navarra and aims for podiums at the end of the Winter Series
March 8, 2025Campos Racing driver performed well over the weekend, but saw incidents prevent good results
In his first steps in his single-seater career, Miguel Costa competed this weekend in the second round of the Spanish F4 Winter Series, held in Portimão, Portugal. The Campos Racing driver faced a challenging stage and had some good moments, especially in the second race on the selective Portuguese track.
The driver showed good potential throughout the weekend, even fighting for victory until the final laps of sprint race.
Miguel also stood out in qualifying, when he came close to starting in the top-5. In the races, some incidents prevented Miguel from achieving positive results. Even so, the brazilian from the Campos Racing team showed good speed in all three races at the weekend in Portimão.
“It was a weekend in which we started with good potential. Qualifying was on a damp track and we were in a position to finish in the top-5. I was seventh among the rookies in the first race on the track, but suffered a penalty for track limits. In the second race, I started from pole position and led for most of the race, but after a restart, I was touched,” said Miguel Costa.
“In the last race of the weekend, I started from 11th position and had a good start, but a touch damaged my car’s front wing. I stayed in contention, but suffered another accident which limited any chance of a good result. But I see it as part of the learning process. It’s only been two rounds this year and we’ll keep working,” added Miguel.
The final round of the Spanish F4 Winter Series will be held between March 7th and 9th at the Navarra circuit in Spain.
