WSK: Miguel Costa on the spotlight with 13 overtakes in Adria’s stage Final

Brazilian driver conquered a third place in a Pre-Final of the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno, Italy, in March of this year; Miguel was also featured in the last round of the Euro Series with 13 overtakes in the Final in Adria
Young Miguel Costa, a driver who is part of the Sauber Karting Team in Europe, will compete in the third and final stage of the WSK Euro Series, which takes place this weekend in Sarno, Italy. It was precisely on this circuit where Miguel conquered a third place in the Pre-Final of the WSK Super Master Series in March and now the Brazilian prodigy will look for another good result among the 88 riders enrolled in the OK Junior category.
“The result in the last stage was good because of the overtaking we made and the evolution we had in the pace of the kart over the weekend. For the last stage, we are going to look for a top-5 and also try to be very consistent throughout the qualifying heats to start better in the Pre-Final. It will be a week of hard work”, says Miguel, who was highlighted in the last round of the Euro Series with 13 overtakes in the Final in Adria.
In his first year in the OK Junior category, the young Brazilian was featured in the WSK Super Master Series earlier this year and got a top-5 in the Final at La Conca stage, in addition to finishing the championship as the best rookie and with prominence in overtaking.
Competing with the Kart Republic chassis, the only 12-year-old Brazilian believes in working for the next competitions, which involve the WSK itself, stages of the European Karting Championship and the World Championship in Brazil in October.
“I hope to continue with the good work, we didn’t have vacations from one season to the other, we always keep practicing and at some point this work will be rewarded. I believe we can continue to evolve for the next championships and seek podiums with the Sauber Karting Team”, says Miguel, who has the support of Baked Potato and Participa.
The free practice of the final stage of the WSK Euro Series starts this Thursday (24), while the qualifying heats will be held on Friday (25) and Saturday (26). The Pre-Final of the OK Junior category is scheduled for Sunday (27), at 7:20 (Brazilian time), and the Final will start on the same day at 10:15.
