June 19, 2023Brazilian has challenging round at Champions of the Future in Rodby, but improves performance after chassis change and concludes preparation for next round of the continental competition
In preparation for the next round of the European Karting Championship, Miguel Costa competed last weekend in the third round of the Champions of the Future, in Rodby, Denmark. The Brazilian driver used the Danish circuit to find a better setup in his kart for the round of the continental competition, which takes place in the same place next week.
The driver from the Parolin team changed his chassis and had a better performance on Sunday after suffering with the speed of his kart in the qualifying heats. Thus, the Brazilian showed a good pace and was close to the top-10 in the pre-final, with the 12th position. Even with the 18th place in the final, Miguel was happy with his performance in Denmark, already thinking about the European Karting Championship.
“The weekend was more difficult than we expected. I qualified in the ninth position in the group, and this meant that I always started in the middle of the pack. And we lacked speed this weekend, maybe because of the altitude. The track seems to help us, and let’s see if we can find something for the European Championship,” said Miguel.
“I am very excited because we learned the track and used a chassis on Sunday that improved our performance. This weekend, if I had started a little further ahead, I believe I could have finished among the top-10 once again,” added the driver.
The European Karting Championship round in Rodby will take place between June 15th and 18th.
