Brazilian driver competes in the World Series Karting (WSK), one of the biggest tournaments in European karting, which announced his return on July 1 in Adria, Italy; Miguel continues training in the USA and should return to Europe in the coming weeks

Young driver Miguel Costa, a member of the Sauber Karting Team, is one of the rising star of Brazil in international karting. Champion among the Italian Kart 2019 rookies, the Brazilian also competes in the World Series Karting (WSK), one of the biggest European karting tournaments, which announced its new calendar with resumption on July 1st.

“I am very happy with the return of competitions in Europe. We are training a lot here in Miami, USA, and I believe that we will be back very prepared for the races in Italy. It was very important to continue working from home too, I got great results in the virtual championships against the best drivers in the world. We must return to Italy in the coming weeks and thus seek new conquests ”, says Miguel, who is sponsored by Baked Potato and Participates.

A member of the Sauber Karting Team, Miguel is the youngest Brazilian ever to participate in an international driver academy linked to an F1 team, Alfa Romeo. The 11-year-old valued the tips he received from motorsport stars after standing out in virtual tournaments

“I achieved good results in the Virtual Stars Challenge and in other virtual championships in which I have participated. I was very happy with the repercussions and the compliments I received from the drivers I admire. I believe that I can bring a lot of what I learned to the ‘real’ tracks and continue in search of the dream of becoming a professional driver ”, adds Miguel.

Round 3 of the WSK Super Master Series will mark the return of the main European karting competition between the 1st and 5th of July, in Adria, Italy.
