Miguel Costa faces another challenge in European karting this weekend. The driver, who races in the OK Junior class, disputes the closing round of the WSK Euro Series, scheduled for the Napoli International Circuit, in the Italian city of Sarno.
The Sauber Academy driver is one of the rising star of the European karting season, accumulating top-10 finishes and good performances throughout the year. In the WSK Euro Series, Costa came from a tenth place in the first round, in Lonato, and hopes for an even more positive result now.
“Sarno is a track that I like a lot, and where I usually ride well. So the work will be to ride strong since free practice in order to have a positive performance in all the heats and look for the podium on Sunday. I am confident for this weekend”, says Miguel.
This is the fifth competition that the Brazilian is competing in Europe this season alone. Before the WSK Euro Series, Costa attended the WSK Champions Cup, the WSK Super Masters, the Champions of the Future, and the European Karting Championship.
As is almost always the case in European competitions, the official practice sessions will be held starting on Thursday, with a time trial and the first heats on Friday. Saturday will see the final qualifying heats, while the pre-final and final will be held on Sunday.
