Brazilian Miguel Costa returns to the track this weekend. This time, he’ll be racing in the Champions of The Future, a competition that serves as an open for the European Kart Championship and which will have its third round at the Slovak Kart Centre, in Slovakia, with the aim of maintaining the good momentum he started in the first round of the Italian Championship, held in La Conca two weeks ago.
In the last round of the European Kart Championship, Miguel was one of the highlights, scoring top-10 finishes in the qualifying heats. Aiming for the Champions of the Future round and the continental competition, the Parolin team driver trained at the track in the town of Orechová Potôň, where he will race this weekend.
‘I’m feeling good, I trained over the weekend in Slovakia, I managed to make good adjustments and, above all, I feel ready to face the competition. I’ve come from a very strong KZ round, we’ve had good training sessions this weekend, so everything is going well for me to get a good result and maybe a podium,’ said Miguel, who will be racing in the OK category.
The programme for the Slovakia leg of the Champions of the Future will begin on Thursday with free practice. Friday will feature time trials and the first qualifying heats, which will continue on Saturday. Sunday is reserved for the pre-final and the deciding round.
