February 22, 2022Miguel Costa takes part in tests looking forward for Champions of the Future opening round at Franciacorta circuit, in Italy, karting track that will host between February 24 and 27 the first stage of Champions of the Future, one of the most important championships of the European karting. The Brazilian Kart Republic driver will test on the circuit between Monday and Tuesday of this week.
“This is an important activity for us to get the hand of the circuit there in Franciacorta. Champions of the Future is one of the strongest championships in Europe and we are going to go for the top to try to get good results and fight for the victory in this first round”, says Miguel, driver who is part of the Sauber academy, linked to the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team.
The Champions of the Future will hold its Winter Series at the Italian circuit, which will have a classic format of the European competitions. Thursday will feature free practice, which will continue on Friday, when there will also be the qualifying session. Saturday will feature qualifying heats, while Sunday will be marked by the pre-final and the final.
“The format of the event is the same as the WSK competitions, so I’m used to it. I am also more and more adapted to the equipment and I have the support of Kart Republic, so I have conditions to achieve a positive result”, added Costa, who suffered with incidents last weekend in the WSK Super Masters, in Lonato, ending the round in the pre-final.
Besides the Winter Series, disputed in a single round, the Champions of the Future will have other four rounds, and will pass through Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Italy.
