December 21, 2021Brazilian driver of the Sauber Driver Academy who finished the World Karting Championship in the top-10 disputes his last championship of 2021
Between November 18 and 21, the young Brazilian driver Miguel Costa competes in the WSK Final Cup, which will be held at the Adria Circuit, located in Smergoncino, Italy. This will be the last championship of 2021 that Miguel will race and he hopes to finish the season with good results.
Last weekend, the Brazilian from the Sauber Driver Academy raced in the Winter Cup, at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato, Italy, where he showed good performance, after finishing all qualifying heats among the top five.
“I come from a positive weekend at the Winter Cup, with good pace in the qualifying heats, pre-final and final. I feel that, if it wasn’t for the touch I received in the last four laps, I could have finished at least in fifth position. This week we have the WSK Final Cup, my last championship this year, and I’m excited. The equipment is good and I will go in the pursuit of extracting the best possible results. We will keep pushing”, says Miguel, who races for the Sauber Orlen Karting Team with kart #340.
The Adria Circuit was inaugurated on November 1, 2014 and has a track length of 1,302 meters. The races are held clockwise, with the pole position starting on the right of the track.
The track activities of OK Junior, the category in which Miguel Costa races, begin on Wednesday (17) with free practices, qualifying heats start on Friday (19), so that the pre-final and final are scheduled for Sunday (21).
