Driver took time off from European karting to compete at the Aldeia da Serra Karting Circuit and is already focusing on his return to the WSK Euro Series in Franciacorta, Italy, where he will compete in the World Karting Championship in October

The European summer vacation period is coming to an end, both for Formula 1 drivers and for competitors in other categories, such as karting, where Miguel Costa is one of Brazil’s most promising drivers. Top-10 in the 2021 World Kart Championship and one of the highlights of this year’s European Kart Championship, the driver visited Brazil for a few days and raced in the São Paulo Light Kart Cup. Competing in the Graduados category, considered to be the main category in Brazil, Miguel came second at the Aldeia da Serra International Karting Circuit, where he shared the track with several experienced drivers.

“It was very special to come to Brazil and have the opportunity to race among several very strong drivers in a very balanced championship. This was the first time I had raced on this track, so the result was still positive because I adapted quickly to the kart and the circuit. It was an unforgettable experience and I still came away happy with the trophy from a competition that I hadn’t even imagined doing last week, says Miguel.

The driver will officially compete in Europe again next week in Franciacorta, Italy, for the opening round of the WSK Euro Series. The round has extra importance, after all, it is precisely on the 1,300-meter circuit that Miguel will compete in the World Kart Championship in October this year.

“Now we’re going back to training in Italy, we’ll have the WSK back and it’s also a preparation for the World Karting Championship, which takes place in a month and a half’s time,” added Miguel, who in 2023 finished in the top 15 of the OK category in the European Karting Championship.

The WSK Euro in Franciacorta will be held between August 31th and September 3th.
